Waldorf Continuum Series: A New Design Language for Commercial Kitchens

17/09/2026

Highlights

Waldorf Continuum Series is a new range of commercial kitchen equipment built around one idea: heavy-duty performance shouldn't have to look heavy-duty.

According to Michael Lillico, Moffat General Manager, Sales and Marketing, the range is "a fusion of strength, performance, and architectural refinement that's set to change the way we think about commercial kitchen design.”

The lineup includes an expanded commercial electric cooking range, more suite-matching refrigerated bases, and a wider choice of leg stands, cabinet bases, and drawers. Together, they give food service operators the flexibility to configure a kitchen layout around how the kitchen actually runs, not the other way around.

What makes the Continuum design different?

The first thing you notice is the curve. Rounded corners and edges, full roll bullnose facings, and curved control panels define the look across every unit in the range. It's strength wearing a more sophisticated shape. Every piece is finished in heavy-duty 2mm 304 stainless steel, the standard most operators already look for in stainless steel commercial kitchen equipment, with ergonomically advanced knobs and bezels completing the aesthetic.

What colour options does Waldorf Continuum come in?

Continuum Series comes in two colour systems, so the level of customisation is up to you.

  • Waldorf Bold applies hard-wearing vitreous enamel in black, burgundy, or chilli red across side panels and facings, including cabinet base doors and refrigerated bases. This is the range for kitchens that want colour to make a statement.
  • Waldorf Cue takes a subtler approach, applying the same Bold colours to control panels only, letting the stainless steel do most of the talking.
More colours are in development. It's a range built to grow alongside your kitchen, not lock you into one look from day one.

How does the Continuum modular system work?

Modularity in Continuum Series operates on two levels, and it's worth keeping them separate.

At the system level, the range itself is modular. The wide choice of leg stands, cabinet bases, drawers, and suite-matching refrigerated bases works like a library of matched components, letting you build a full kitchen layout suited to your space and workflow rather than fitting your kitchen around a fixed set of units.

At the unit level, individual pieces are also modular in their own right. Cabinet doors can be added or removed, a low back swapped for a high back, or Cue control panels updated for a new colour, all with an ease of change that traditional fixed setups don't offer. This is the headline innovation in the range, and it's a genuine shift in how modular commercial kitchen equipment is usually built: reconfiguring an existing unit, not just selecting from a range when it's first installed.

Together, the two levels mean a Continuum kitchen isn't just built to your original spec, it's built to keep changing with it. A shift in menu or layout doesn't mean starting over with new equipment.

What's changed for cleaning and servicing?

A few upgrades here are small on paper but make a real difference across a full service day.

"Continuum Series embodies everything you've come to expect from Waldorf and more," says Lillico. "Food service professionals can now look forward to having more of the tools they need in a wider range of specifications to enhance their creative expression."

Frequently asked questions

Is Waldorf Continuum Series suitable for commercial kitchen equipment upgrades without a full kitchen rebuild?

Yes, at both levels. The range's system of matched components lets you configure a new layout without a full rebuild, and individual installed units can be reconfigured with new doors, backs, or panels as needs change. How easy is it to reconfigure a Continuum unit? The unit-level modular system is built around ease of change, letting cabinet doors, backs, and control panels be swapped with far less disruption than a traditional fixed setup.

What's the difference between Waldorf Bold and Waldorf Cue?

Bold applies colour across full side panels and facings. Cue applies the same colour range to control panels only, for a more understated finish.

Is Continuum Series available with refrigeration?

Yes. Suite-matching refrigerated bases are part of the expanded lineup, finished to match the rest of the range.
